THE CURRICULUM 

The school’s curriculum is divided into Key Stages: Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5. It is delivered in a systematic way accommodating proven traditional teaching methods along with the modern best of practice methods.

Regular homework is emphasized to support and extend the learners’ academic progress by instilling self discipline and independent study. Parents are expected to support the learners’ capabilities in order to enhance their academic and social skills.

Kindergarten Curriculum

The Kindergarten section of the school follows the Montessori curriculum. This section offers Key Stage 1 which consists of the Playgroup, KG1, KG2 and the Reception class. The curriculum emphasises Numeracy, Library, Reading, Languages and Literacy skills. It also offers exciting lessons in ICT, Music, Drama, PE and Swimming.

The Kindergarten curriculum uses a special child-centred approach which enhances children’s development of skills and values to help them become confident, capable and independent. The Jolly Phonics child-centred approach is used to teaching literacy.

Junior School Curriculum

The Junior School section offers Key Stage 1 at Year 1 to Year 2 and Key Stage 2 at Year 3 to Year 6. The school curriculum is structured such that it gives the pupils a solid foundation for lifelong learning by following the Edexcel Primary Curriculum which provides excellent preparation for secondary education.

At the end of Year 6 the pupils are expected to sit for their Edexcel International Primary achievement tests in Computing, English, Mathematics and Science.

The section strives for excellence in all aspects of the pupils' development. It provides a broad and balanced curriculum designed to extend the students' horizons while nurturing their creative and analytical thinking skills.

The subjects offered include Mathematics, English Language, Science, History, Humanities, Global citizenship, Geography, Kiswahili, French, Gujarati, PSHE (Personal Social Health Education), Art, Computing, Music, PE and Swimming.

Senior School Curriculum

The Senior School section aims to provide quality and balanced education and to give students opportunities to realise their full academic potential at the same time developing social skills in a bid to produce responsible and hardworking citizens. Students are taught to be creative, independent and inquisitive.

They learn to persevere, be open minded, principled but respectful and caring. The curriculum develops and inspires creative and mental growth of the student by nurturing students’ curiosity and passion for learning.

The section offers Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. Key Stage 3 follows the Edexcel Lower Secondary Curriculum at Year 7 to Year 9 while Key Stage 4 which comprises Year 10 and Year 11 follows the Edexcel International GCSE Curriculum. Key Stage 5 is offered at Year 12 and Year 13 under the Edexcel GCE at A Level Curriculum and the Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Level (IAL).

A variety of subjects are offered at International GCSE. These include Mathematics, Further Pure Mathematics, English Language, English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Global Citizenship, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, French, Gujarati, Kiswahili, ICT, Art and Design, PSHE (Personal Social Health Education), PE and Swimming.

The A level subjects on offer are Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Psychology and Art & Design.
