For yet another year, the entire school met by the poolside to witness this exiting event. The weather albeit grey held its peace till the last whistle was blown.
The event brought parents together too as they witnessed with pride the strength, stamina and wit of their adorable children. The participants went through two disciplines in 3 stages; Run, Swim, Run.
It was an exciting, thrilling and well organized event which saw Nkrumah house emerge as the the overall winning house. 
After the fun-hard work, medals were awarded to the top 3 students and certificates to all the participants in 5 different age categories;
 7 years and under
 8/9 years,
 10/11 years,
 12/13 years
 14 plus years.

U13 GIRLS NETBALL TOURNAMENT HELD AT KIVUKONI SCHOOL ON 17TH JUNE 2023.

Team spirit,excellent participation and persistence through out every game, our girls played a total  of 6 matches .

We won 5 and lost 1. After winning the semifinal, they narrowly lost against Kivukoni School in the finals.
Overall we got 2nd place out of 7 schools.

One of our very own Esther Maria Pol from Year 6k was awarded as the Top scorer in the U13 Netball Tournament. We celebrate and applaud her.

U.9 / U.11 BOYS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2023

Our Under 9 and Under 11boys teams participated in the Aga Khan Football Festival this term.

The Under 9 football team played a total of four matches where they drew 3 and lost one.

They had a total of 10 points out of 20 points and emerged 4^th overall.                                           

                                     

The Under 11 team played a total of five matches where they won 4 and lost one.

They had a total of 21 points out of 25.

Overall they came second overall.

 

The day dawned bright and hot perfect for the event. The parents arrived in large numbers to
witness the long awaited event. This was our first swimming gala after the pandemic. The
children show cased their many skills and talents with the different strokes of swimming, i.e back
stroke, free style length and diving. They participated in different games like treasure
hunt, relays, paddling, sorting and many others. The parents enjoyed the event thoroughly and
cheered heartily.

The football tournament was held at the school grounds on Saturday 25^th February 2023. 6 schools participated in the exciting and sensational event.

The school team was unbeaten in the entire tournament after drawing 4 games and winning 1. They emerged 3^rd overall. Congratulations to the team and the coaches.

The event dawned at the school field as the sun rose on the 27th of January 2023. The senior school students, dorned in their sports attires together with their teachers spend the better part of the day pumping adrenaline across the field. Gandhi, Mandela, Lincoln and Nkrumah houses all put their best foot forward. 

Mandela house emerged the winners of the day as Gandhi followed closely behind. 

The day ended in cheer as different awards and medals were given to the participants.

The event was held at the school grounds on 12th November 2022.

Four schools, including us the hosts participated. After a round robin format, our girls
managed to win all their three matches. We emerged 2022 winners after scooping maximum points in
all the three matches played. The girls were in high spirits all through the games.

The swimming gala was held at Braeburn International School Mombasa with the participating age category 7 years and under, 8/9 years old. The event included both boys and girls.

We had a team of 16 swimmers in total. In individual events, Ryan Mwirigi from the 7 years and under age group was position 1 in 25m backstroke.

In relay events our boys team made us proud as the 7 years and under age category came position 3 in both 4x25m medley relay and freestyle relay.

On the other hand, 8/9 years’ boys’ category our team became position 3 in 4x50m medley relay and position 2 in 4x50m

freestyle relay respectively.

The key stage 1 sports day for the 2022-2023 Academic Year took place on 11^th November 2022 at the school's field.  The day dawned bright and sunny.  The event kicked off with an impressive welcome performed by the key stage 1 learners.  

The items went smoothly as the children showcased their skills and talents through the various races. The children showed cooperation in their team games with a competitive spirit. The icing on the cake was an epic Tag of War by the teachers, the learners were elated on seeing their teachers in action.

The event was held at Aga Khan Academy Mombasa on 5 th October, 2022 . With over 13 schools all under the umbrella of the Mombasa International Schools League (MISL) in attendance, it was a long day but our students endured the heat and came out shinning at number 3 overall. 

Our students had continuously conducted vigorous training in the school playground under the guidance of their P.E coaches.

The hard work finally paid off and we commend them for the good work done. Bravo to the team.

The event took place on the 19^th October 2022. Being the first one since Covid hit, it was met with excitement and nostalgia. Our students were elated and teachers alike. Approximately 150 swimmers were In attendance
and ready for the fun filled and competitive event.
Class categories were as follows:
 Junior- Yr3-4, Yr5-6 and Yr3-6 in relays for both boys and girls.
 Senior- Yr7-9, Yr10-13 and Yr7-13 in relays for both boys and girls

The much awaited Inter – House Junior Athletics Championship was held on Saturday 8th October 2022, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.

In a span of 4-week, participants went through rigorous knock out stages in a total of 7 events categories.
The Under-11, Under-13 and 14+ years age groups fought for their houses in a series of 104 matches played in that period. The games included; Football, Netball, Rounders, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton and Table Tennis.
