World scholars’ cup global round of Doha was held from 22 nd June to 27 th June, 2023.
Six scholars teaming as 3 from junior and 3 from senior represented Shree Swaminarayan Academy, Mombasa.
This was the first time in history our students took part on this global platform.
The tournament had several academic as well as fun activities for scholars such as:
 Team Debate
 Collaborative writing
 Scholars’ bowl
 Scholars’ challenge
 Scholars’ show
 Scholars’ scavenge
 Ball night
It was an amazing experience with cocktail of young scholars and their coaches.
Our scholars earned 4 th position and scooped a trophy with several gold and silver medals as below.

Held on 14th July 2023 at the Assembly Hall, the atmosphere at the graduation ceremony was electric and
celebratory as the venue was adorned with banners and decorations, creating a festive ambience. The joy and enthusiasm of the graduates and their loved ones were palpable as they gathered to mark this significant milestone in their lives.

The gathering was graced by the Principal who congratulated the little scholars and encouraged them to do even more as they enter ther Junior Section. 

The graduates, dressed in graduation robes and caps performed different activities including dances, poems and verse speaking which were highly appreciated and enjoyed by all in attendance.
It was a moment of pride and deep emotions as the parents and mentors watched the young graduates receiving their KG certificates.

Earth / French Day Celebrations


Our art students from both Junior and Senior School took part in an Art competition that was organized by Ms. Nafisa Khanbhai. Ms.Khanbhai operates a non profit organization known as the "Dear Diaries Initiative". The initiative's motto is “Empowering people with disabilities to be self-sufficient and less dependent on others."

Special awards were given to the winners and a special tree planting ceremony held at the school.


Every year the school participates in this noble charity walk and this year was no exception. Our students and teachers alike were bright and early, ready to raise funds towards the Wema children centre. 

Aimed to increase awareness on the challenges that street children face, the school participated in a big way and managed to help raise huge amounts of money towards the same. 

It is also, always a good opportunity for our students to interact with others and engage in some physical exercise.


SSA not only excells in academics, but it is also a place full of talents and diversity.
One of the remarkable occasions in the school is the Variety Show. The event was held on Saturday 11 th March 2023 at the sports ground after a 2-year halt due to the pandemic. The administration, Teachers, staff, parents and students alike came out in large numbers and excitment to witness the different talents showcased in the two hour evening show.

Audience were entertained with medley of performances including; prayer dances, songs, plays, dances and fashion shows just to mention but afew. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their talents.




Held on 3rd March 2023, children choose their favourite characters from the several books they read at school.  They all came to school dressed up as ther favourite book character. We had princess, princesses, pirates, animals, doctors, red riding hoods and even Radha with her Lord Krishna.  The children got a chance to walk up on stage and introduce themselves. Not to be left behind, teacher enouarged their learners by also dressing up, they showed cased a caterpillar, ladybug, grandmother and a witch among others.  Children show cased their creativity and their love for reading.  It was a lovely fantastic day.

Inter-house quiz competitions.


Organized and hosted at Jaffery Academy, the quiz challenge brought together students in Junior School (Year 1- 6) from 8 different schools in Mombasa.

Our students showed their prowess in responding to different brainstorming activities in spelling, pronunciation, reading and translation. There was great demonstration of teamwork and collaboration in group activities which were designed for each year’s group.

Under judging of the Director of Alliance Française, Mr. Lucas Malcor, our Academy emerged third among the 8 schools present and was awarded a trophy and certificates.

Finally, the exams were done, scripts marked, end of term party’s done and reports send home.
The first term closing assembly for our academic year 2022/2023 was filled with excitement, albeit tired faces.
The air was full of Christmas cheer and carols were piped all through the complex hall.

Year 4k class cheered and educated the assembly with their wonderfully presented pieces.
The principal together with the Senior Management Team wished everyone happy holidays as the school closed for the Christmas and new year holidays.

With the longest term of our academic calendar coming to an end, the management surprised the teaching staff with a lunch date.

The teachers put down their red pens and chalks and headed to the beach.
It was a mellow session as teachers from all the sections of the school came together and a time for the Senior Management Team to interact with the teachers.

With their feet in the sand and the cool sea breeze, the afternoon was filled with laughter dancing and many team building activities.


The Principal not being left behind participated fully in all activities. She lastly made a brief speech before the team indulged in a well thought and prepared menu.
It was a splendid and timely break as the teachers embarked on exam setting, invigilation, marking, reports and all the activities that comes with end of term.

The day was met with a lot of excitement from teachers, parents and students.The school hall came alive on Saturday 12th March at 8.00am when its doors were opened to the parents. Each department put their best foot forward.

Pupils together with their teachers had spent weeks tirelessly preparing their projects to show what they have been learning in class. The pupils took to the floor to show their academic excellence on different topics.

The year three class showcased the importance eating healthy foods and dental hygiene among others.

The academic exhibition provides an important platform which allows parents to experince first hand the learning process from the most important stakeholder - the child. It was a mind drilling day which ended on a high note as our pupils gained confidence in public speaking as well.


The Senior school graduation was held on Saturday 3rd July 2021 in the Sports Complex to allow for in person celebrations under strict observation of the pandemic conventions.

To honor the academic achievements of the 2021 class, the colorful ceremony was presided over by the school Principal Mrs. Lazar. In her convocation address, she complimented the graduates on their achievements and the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and co-curricular activities.

73 graduates were conferred with certificates of graduation, that is, 19 students from A-Levels and 54 from IGCSE.
Apart from the graduation certificates, exceptional trophy awards were given to students who showed exemplary achievement throughout their learning years.
